What is the Social Fund?
 
The Social Fund, provided by the Students’ Union (ÖH) of the University of Arts Linz, is a one-time financial support for students in precarious life situations.
To be eligible, you must be a regular student at the University of Arts Linz, a member of the ÖH, and not receive sufficient support from other institutions.
There is no legal claim to this funding – it is a voluntary service of the ÖH.
Applications can be submitted starting from the second semester. The official call will be shared via the ÖH Info email list and posters at all university locations.
 
 
Who can apply?
 
All students enrolled in at least their second semester at the University of Arts Linz can apply – provided their studies are at risk due to their current financial situation.
 
 
What are the requirements?
 
You are eligible for support if you are financially in need according to the ÖH guidelines. This includes:
 
You are in a financial emergency, meaning your monthly expenses exceed your monthly income.
(Note: Students who need to show savings for essential expenses such as residence permits or deposits are excluded from this.)
 
You are struggling with mental health issuesthat significantly affect your ability to focus on your studies.
(This must be confirmed by a licensed psychotherapist or medical doctor.)
 
You are a student with a disability (min. 50%) and attending courses involves considerable financial effort.
 
You face unexpected one-time costs such as child support, urgent medical treatment, therapy, or other essential needs.
(Childcare costs are excluded.)

Please make sure the form is fully completed and all required documents are uploaded!

Student ID
 
Current record of studies (Studienblatt)
 
Tabular CV
 
Written statement of your request (as PDF, in German or English)
 
Confirmation of student grant (if available)
 
Proof of all income – e.g., payslips, family allowance, alimony, scholarships, etc.
 
Proof of rent – e.g., lease agreement or current payment confirmation
 
Copy of your bank card (both sides) including readable IBAN and BIC
 
Bank statements of the last three months (from January onwards)
