In 2027, forum presents will once again award several solo exhibitions in Linz and Vienna as well as presentation opportunities on the Artnet platform for graduates of the University of Art and Design Linz
forum presents is a non-commercial exhibition platform with a focus on contemporary art. Together with the University of Art and Design Linz, it offers the possibility of a solo exhibition for graduates of the University of Art and Design Linz who are also members of the alumni association forum – University of Art and Design Linz.

Submission deadline: October 1st, 2026, 11.59 p.m.
The following areas will be put out to tender:
1. two solo exhibitions in Linz (splace am Hauptplatz) and one solo exhibition in Vienna in cooperation with the ifk International Research Center for Cultural Studies | University of Art and Design Linz in Vienna
2. the possibility of a digital presence of up to 5 (for sale) works on the gallery platform Artnet
Applications are possible for both points.

in Linz
Artists can exhibit in the exhibition space splace on Hauptplatz (Hauptplatz 6, 4020 Linz). The manner of presentation and the selection of the works shown is based on the project idea of the person who has been selected for the project.

at the ifk in Vienna
The ifk International Research Center for Cultural Studies at the University of Art and Design Linz in Vienna has been working closely with visual artists and media artists since 2015 and strengthens the interface between science and art through formats such as Artist in Residence or doctorates in the field of artistic research.

In the ifk Arkade – the extended premises on the ground floor – lectures and conferences take place regularly. A presentation area of 93 m2 is available in the basement for the exhibitions.

forum presents in Linz and forum presents at ifk in Vienna
- pay an exhibition fee of 1000 euros (gross for net)
- provide the premises and exhibition supervision
- support from a curatorial point of view
- insure the works (nail to nail)
- do the PR work and host the vernissage
Applications are open to graduates of the University of Art and Design Linz who are also members of the Alumni Association forum - University of Art and Design Linz and have completed a diploma, master's or PhD program at the University of Art and Design Linz and are no longer enrolled.
Dates forum presents (incl. set-up and dismantling):
- splace on the main square from 29 March to 16 April 2027
- splace on the main square from 16 September to 1 October 2027
- Exhibition at ifk in November/December 2027
The following must be submitted:
- Meaningful documentation material about one's own work (portfolio and a curriculum vitae). All data must be summarized in one PDF document. The file name is: Nachname_Vorname.pdf, file size max. 10 MB
- An idea, a rough concept of what should be shown and how the room should be used,
File name is: Nachname_Vorname_projektidee.pdf, file size max. 3 MB - Desired date of one or more of the possible dates.

Artnet was founded in New York in 1989 and is now one of the most comprehensive art databases in the world. Around 2000 international galleries are currently represented in the Artnet gallery network with their artists and their works. Since the summer of 2021, forum presents has been on this platform with the aim of making the work of alumni of the University of Art and Design Linz accessible to a wider audience and increasing international awareness. http://www.artnet.de/
The following must be submitted:
- Images of a maximum of five works, the works must be available and saleable.
- PDF document with the descriptions of the works and a curriculum vitae

Graduates of the University of Art and Design Linz who are also members of the Alumni Association forum - University of Art and Design Linz and have completed a diploma, master's or PhD degree at the University of Art and Design Linz can apply.

The jury consists of members of the board of forum - University of Art and Design Linz, and one representative each of the Rectorate of the University of Art and Design Linz and the ifk.

Legal recourse is excluded for the decisions on inclusion in the exhibition series and the gallery platform. Furthermore, forum – University of Art and Design Linz will keep the submissions on file in order to approach the applicant for other projects if necessary.
